As part ofAssos' Dopo Bici, or 'after bike,' collection, the new DB.4 kickTop pulloverwas built to represent the perfect balance of style, comfort, and functionalitythat we've come to expect from Assos. This casual jacket delivers the bestfabrics and fit from the Swiss apparel designer, providing us with a new takeon what's possible in a casual jacket.

Just likemany of the technical climaRange jackets, the DB.4 kickTop employs Assos'exclusive RX material. This fabric was used for the bulk of its panelingconstruction, as it features a warm, stretchy composition that works to keepyour core both insulated and dry. The outer-layer appears fleecy, and theinner-layer is thin and smooth. Assos considers this fabric to be a'transportation' textile, with the dual purpose of moving moisture away fromthe skin while insulating the body. This is the concept of essentiallyretaining body heat while expelling moisture through the RX's hollow-fiberconstruction. The open fibers work in conjunction with the '2+1-way' stretch ofthe material to accelerate moisture evaporation at the surface of the fabric.The RX was supplemented with underarm panels made from Assos' stretchy 185fabric. This material is composed of an ultra-breathable structure, whichprovides additional ventilation to the jacket. Altogether, the system is highlyeffective at maintaining your 'internal microClima,' or more simply put, yourtemperature inside the DB.4.

Differingfrom your favorite Assos cycling jacket, however, the DB.4 kickTop incorporatesa more spacious paneling design that's been built specifically for your dailylife off of the bicycle. The fabric panels were joined in a way that contoursto the body without restricting movement. Along these lines, separate shoulderpanels were cut in a shape that mimics your anatomical structure, which aids ina fit that smoothly wraps your arms and torso. Meanwhile, a thin 'free-standing'neck panel composes the DB.4's collar, which was specifically designed to keeppressure off of the neck. This paneling is backed with ultra-soft macrofleece,providing maximum comfort.

Going alongwith this theme of comfort, Assos also covered the inside seams of the DB.4 toprovide a smooth, chafe-free contact with your skin. The cuffs and hem werebuilt with narrow bands to secure the fit, and two zippered front pockets and1/4-length zipper round out the front. Assos finished off the kickTop with asmall logo at the chest and a reflective security stripe along the rear panel.
