K2冲顶失败，Fredrik Ericsson 遇难

Fredrik, Trey 和女登山家 Gerlinde Kaltenbrunner凌晨1：30从C4出发冲顶。因为天气较坏，其余6人留在C4没有参加冲顶。天气预报说天气稍晚时可能变好。7：00左右，Gerlinde报告说到了瓶颈地段下，能见度仍很低。Trey在此折返。一小时后，Gerlinde看到Fredrik滑坠。在能见度非常低的情况下，Gerlinde只找到了Fredrik的一只滑雪板。她一人撤回了C4营地。同时俄罗斯的Yura Ermachek 往C3下撤侦查，在C3以上大约400米处看到Fredrik遗体，所处位置太危险，无法到达。

Fredrik Ericsson 生于1975年3月14日，是瑞典高山极限滑雪家。曾登顶希夏邦玛中央峰和Gasherbrum II并从峰顶滑雪下山。

As Ericsson was attempting to fix ropes to the snow and ice along the route he "lost his purchase and was unable to arrest his fall," Schipper said.

Ericsson's body, resting at about 7,000 meters, will remain where it fell, Schipper said on Ericsson's website.

"His parents have requested it remain in the mountains he loved," he wrote. "Retrieval would be exceptionally dangerous."
