令人悲痛的消息，第二个在内华山脉失踪的Thru hiker，可以确认是上海女孩王朝翠.7月17日她最后一次出现后就失去联系，如果网上有认识这个女孩的，希望通知她的父母可以看到.   她在facebook上的信息是北京语言大学毕业，重庆人，住在上海，28岁。请知道她的人通知她的父母，现在很多志愿者和她的朋友都迫切想知道她是否活着.根据她的朋友 的说法她的父母不知道她徒步太平洋山脊小道的事。

Tree Wang is POSSIBLY a missing PCT Hiker.

Tree was last seen on July 17 at mile 977.  See details below.

Yosemite National Park authorities are aware of the situation.  Park Officials appreciate everyone's concern but contacting every law enforcement agency in California is not helpful.

Tree utilizes WhatsApp and has not turned it on since July 15, 2017.

Markus has been trying to contact Tree's contact in Los Angeles.  No answer and his call has not been returned.  

I left a message on Tree's Facebook page requesting contact.

No family contact information is known.  Tree's family does not know she is hiking the PCT.

Neal Parker, thank you so much for contacting the Yosemite officials with your updated knowledge.  
Ingo Janas and Gehn Shibayama are much better at this than I am.   I live in Minnesota and have a full time job.  I will assist however I am able to.

IF ANYONE HAS SEEN TREE WANG after July 16 or 17, or after PCT mile 977, please contact us immediately.

Good Afternoon, Pacific Trail Hikers:
I am posting on behalf of Markus HAGMann.  
Markus is a PCT Hiker from Switzerland.  He is not very familiar with Facebook and has asked that I post.
He is concerned about Tree Wang.  She is a 28 year old hiker from Shanghai, China.   Please see attached photos.  Tree's last Facebook post was on July 14 in Yosemite Valley.Markus last saw Tree on Sunday, July 16 at Mile 946.  At that time, Tree and Markus decided to hike alone.  Tree was hiking to Kennedy Meadows North for her resupply box.  
(Today, I called Kennedy Meadows North and there was no box on hold for Tree Wang.)
From Kennedy Meadow North, she was to meet Markus in South Lake Tahoe.
Tree has not been online since July 16.  
It is unknown if she picked up her resupply box in Kennedy Meadows North.  And she has not reached South Lake Tahoe.  

If you have seen Tree or know of her whereabouts, please share here or ask her to reach out to Markus or myself.  

Any assistance or information is greatly appreciated.   Thank you.

Regretfully the body of Tree Wang has been found in Yosemite today. Not the same place as Strawberry. Be safe everyone the rivers hold no sympathy this year. RIP

PCT最近不太平啊， 前几天一个32岁日本女solo hiker 遗体被发现在Kings 河的支流里。

我分析了一下，今年有个误区，很多人为了躲过大雪，6月中旬之后进入内华达山脉，王朝翠和日本那个女孩都是如此。我看了王朝翠在forester Pass的照片，山顶积雪都化了，我6月穿初过forester pass，山顶的牌子还被积雪埋了。我的计算，如果同时期进入内华达山脉，河水的水位不会差得太多，因为去年春天非常冷，6月中旬又下了雪。但是今年，气温升高的很快，雪水融化 速度太快，到了7月中旬，河水水位比往年还高。所以造成了很多事故。今年较早进入的反而都安全穿越，反而后面的人却出了事故，值得思考。我觉得如果是Thru hiking最佳时机都是5月20日进入，虽然会遭遇大雪，但是因为天冷，河水不会涨的离谱。

今年的水非常大， 优胜美地现在水比一个月前小一些了， 但是仍然是去年六月的2都3倍。早点走雪是比较安全一些。
