Very accurate altimimeter on my climb. Compass is easy to use and handy to have. The chart for barometric pressure is great, especially with impending storms. Buttons and menu are easy to use. They have a mini-web just for this watch, that teaches some of the most important features. Go to the main website, then click on the Core to find the mini-site. I have only had the watch for a few weeks, so I can't speak for battery life. I probably will get a spare battery now just in case. Also, I will probably get a spare strap now as well. Plan to have this great watch for many years. This watch does so many things.
