Carrer dels Sombrerers, 6, 08003, Barcellona, Spain The Santa Maria del Mar is a beautiful church in the Barri Gottic area of Barcelona. It is just gorgeous and is as all churches should be: right in the centre of the city, not hidden behind grounds or mysterious gates. Inside it is so peaceful and surprisingly dark in comparison to the bustling street and bright blue skies of outside. There is a beautiful stain glass window, which glows like jewels in the wall. Also on a summer Sunday, the streets come alive with the brightly coloured gowns of wedding guests and the streets are littered with rose petal confetti. This building has been under construction since 1882 and they've still got another 30 to 80 years (depending on funding and reSources) to go before it will be finished. Some people love the Sagrada Familia and some people hate it but whatever you think I guarantee it will cause a reaction one way or the other. This Barcelona attraction is a small Spanish village with different quarters that repliCATe the style of houses and architecture from different parts of Spain. Poble Espanyol is also home to a whole host of specialist craft shops and workshops where you can see some traditionally made Spanish goods. Poble Espanyol is also the venue for the Famous Flamenco show at tablao de Carmen which maybe is one reason for it's popularity at no.3 Official website of Poble Espanyol And we can drop by the magic fountain The Magic Fountain of Montjuic -Barcelona Photo Guide The magic fountain of Montjuïc's first performance was on May 19, 1929 during the Great Universal Exhibition. The designer Carles Buigas submitted his plans one year before the exhibition and many thought that the project was too ambitious to be created, let alone completed on time. Over 3000 workers were commissioned to work on the project and less than 1 year later the magic fountain was born. The magic fountain is a spectacular display of colour, light, motion, music and water acrobatics - if you mix all these elements together in just the right combinations, you end up with pure magic! The magic fountain is a "must see" when you come to Barcelona and highly recommended. Metro:
Jaume l (Yellow Line, L4) The museum has arranged Picasso's paintings in chronological order from his early days to his final works. Arranging the paintings in this way gives you a fascinating insight into the development of Picasso thinking over time and shows how he developed the distinctive designs that he is famous for today. Very popular art gallery Afternoon of Dec.26 Barceloneta BeachMetro stop "Barceloneta"
(Yellow Line, L4) Turn right on leaving the metro and cross the main roads, continue walking straight for about 10 mins. Barceloneta is the first of the Barcelona beaches and can therefore get quite busy during the summer months. But it's not always like this. Some days can be overcast or even rainy -it's the luck of the draw. There are plenty of things to do on the beach besides swim. Windsurfing and kite surfing are popular. You can also enjoy a refreshing drink from one of the many beach huts. Or, if you're in need of a rest, just lie down and soak up the warmth of the Spanish sun with a good book. In Barcelona you are never far away from some interesting architecture.. not even on the beach! But the designer of this building may have had a few too many drinks when he was drawing up his designs!
The quickest way to get to Barceloneta beach is to catch the yellow line metro and get off at the Barceloneta stop. Alternatively you can walk to Barceloneta from the city centre. It will take you about 20 mins from the end of La Rambla. If you choose to walk there are some great views en-route. You'll see the "Monument a Colom" a memorial to the great Explorer Christopher Columbus. A little further along is the Port de Barcelona, a picturesque port with a beautiful view of the sea and marina. Other place to see if we run into un-conveniency Wax Museum (Museu de Cera)
Metro Drassanes (Green Line, L3) 5 mins walk
Passage de la Blanca, 7 (Just off the Ramblas)
Official Web site:
www.museocerabcn.com Las Ramblas Barcelona Las Ramblas in Barcelona is a 1.2 Km walkway through the very heart of the city centre. Here you will see all sorts of stalls, restaurants, bars and street performers along with the many thousands of people that promenade up and down the Ramblas until the early hours of the morning. Las Ramblas stretches from Monument a Colom in the south to Placa de Catalunya in the North and many important streets and squares lead off from the Ramblas en-route. How to get Las Ramblas Metro: Drassanes(Green Line, L3) or Liceu (Green Line, L3) or Catalunya (Green Line, L3) and (Red Line, L1) The order of the metro stops given here is from monument a Colom at the South end of the Ramblas to Placa de Catalunya at the North end of the Ramblas. 累死咯,格拉纳达这个地方不像巴塞那么丰富,除了阿尔汉布拉宫之外,似乎只有摩尔式街区和一个又一个的教堂可以闲逛,想去看看flamenco

It is located on top of the hill al-Sabika, on the left bank of the river Darro, to the west of the city of Granada and in front of the neighbourhoods of the Albaicin and of the Alcazaba. The Alhambra is located on a strategic point, with a view over the whole city and the meadow (la Vega), and this fact leads to believe that other buildings were already on that site before the Muslims arrived. The complex is surrounded by ramparts and has an irregular shape. It limits with the valley of the river Darro on its northern side, with the valley of al-Sabika on its southern side and with the street Cuesta del Rey Chico on the eastern side. The Cuesta del Rey Chico is also the border between the neighbourhood of the Albaicin and the gardens of the Generalife, located on top of the Hill of the Sun (Cerro del Sol). On foot
There exist basically two different paths to get to the Alhambra by foot from the city centre. The most beautiful and historically interesting of them is the one taken from Plaza Nueva into the street Cuesta de Gomérez. The Gate of the Pomegranates (Puerta de las Granadas) is the first monument that you will see and it marks the beginning of the tree-lined avenues of the Alhambra. Pedro Machuca built this gate under the orders of Charles V around the year 1536 on the «Bib al-Buxar» or «gate of the glad tidings», a defensive tower that was one of the gates of the city. This gate leads to the tree-lined avenues of the Alhambra and to the area within the ramparts. Cuesta de Gomérez Once on the other side of this gate, you will be walking along the tree-lined avenues of the Alhambra, which was a poplar grove during the Christian period and which has modified its appearance with time. The tree-lined avenues you may see nowadays are the result of the redesign carried out in the 19th century. Further up, to the left and next to the esplanade of the Justice Gate (Puerta de la Justicia), entrance to the complex of the Alhambra, you will find Charles V Pillar. It is a three-spout fountain that Pedro Machuca built in the 16th century under the orders of the Count of Tendilla and which was restored in the 17th century by the local architect Alonso de Mena. Cuesta de Gomérez: Afternoon of Dec.28 Cathedral: The Cathedral Contact Address: Granada Cathedral Gran Via de Colón E-18001 Granada The Cathedral of Granada should become a symbol of the statement of christianity in the former Muslim capital. The construction of the cathedral began in 1520, but was delayed for some centuries. The Cathedral is considered the first Renaissance temple of Spain. Imitations of this Cathedral can be seen in many Spanish cities. An entrance into the Cathedral is from Gran Via de Colon.
Open 10.45 - 13.30 16.00 - 20.00 Mon - Sat and 16.00 - 20.00 Sun April – October
Nov - March the Cathedral closes one hour earlier at 19.00hrs.

Dinner time Bodegas la Mancha; Address: Calle Joaquin Costa Just around the corner is a real institution of a Granada tapas bar: Bodegas la Mancha. Much more of a typically old-fashioned Spanish place than Chopp, the crowd is often on the ‘mature’ - and male - side. During the day, especially, you usually can’t move for old men bellowing at each other over a glass or two of vermouth. The food served is a selection of old Spanish favorites, from jamon serrano (as evidenced by the swinging pigs’ legs in the photo above) to manchego cheese. Elbowing our way to the bar, HostelBloggers, incidentally, ordered a large portion of morcilla (black pudding), before sidling on to the next place on our itinerary… Morning of Dec.29 Albayzín district El Albayzín (also Albaicín or El Albaicín) is a district of present day Granada, Spain that retains the narrow winding streets of its Medieval Moorish past. It was declared a world heritage site in 1984, along with the more famous Alhambra. It rises on a hill facing the Alhambra and many tourists journey into the Albayzin primarily for the spectactular views of the Alhambra from the viewing point by the church of San Nicolas. Highlights within the area include the remains of an Arab bath complex, Granada's archeological museum, and the church of San Salvador, built on the remains of a Moorish mosque. The Albayzin also contains some original Moorish houses and a wide-range of restaurants, including several streets whose eateries are inspired by North Africa. Afternoon of Dec.29 Monasterio de la Cartuja. Contact Address: Paseo de la Cartuja, s/n 18011 Granada Tel. +34 958161932
Although the original design was medieval, it is completely baroque. It was not built until 1515. Because of this, the Carthusian monastery is far from the original idea of austerity, blending the work of various artists in its church, its sacristy and the shrine. Most notable among them were Bocanegra and Sánchez Cotán. Its encrustations of precious stones are of special interest. Type of monument: Cartusian monastery. Origin: 16th Century. Period: 16th Century. Style: Baroque. Information for visits Timetables: 1 April to 31 October, Monday-Saturday, 10am-1pm and 4-8pm. 1 November to 31 March, daily, 10am-1pm and 3.30-6pm. Sundays, 10am-12pm. Entry fee:
