03 June - Australia. Around 400 people gathered at Anvil Hill, site of a proposed coal mine that will produce an extra 27 million tonnes of the greenhouse gas carbon dioxide each year - equal to four million more cars on the road.
04 June - Indonesia. Activists on Kuta Beach, Bali carry a carbon dioxide balloon dragon at a World Environment Day protest organised for G8 and Coal Trans 2007, the largest coal industry gathering in Asia.
05 June - Czech Republic. A balloon reading "72 percent say no radar" - referring to the US plans to build a military radar base in the Czech Republic - greets George Bush on his visit to Prague.
12 June - Slovakia. In a joint campaign with SOS BirdLife in Bratislava, some of the animals threatened by new government legislation ask "Give us a chance to survive".
20 June - Netherlands. Activists and locals build a dyke around a government building in Groningen. Despite being seriously threatened by rising sea-levels caused by climate change, there are plans to build new polluting coal power plants in the area.
