故事的起源地-列城

  

一个冲动的决定, 一段毅然决然说走就走的旅程

An impulsive decision,

a journey without any advanced planning,

go completely spontaneous;

3年前的我, 印度一直是我向往的国度;

India is one of the countries where

I am dreaming of since 3 years ago;

3年前的我, "内观 静坐"一直是我所期望的经历;

I've been telling myself

"Vipassana Meditation"

I must try when I will in India since 3 years ago;

计划总是赶不上变化, 而机缘巧合的"冲动"

"lans changed" is part of our lives, I do believe the right thing in the right moment;

真正意义上的随"心"所欲,

The real meaning of

"do whatever your heart tells you"

订了机票, 递交了静修申请, 拿到了电子签

从而踏上了我真正的印度之旅.

Flights booked, applied for "Vipassana", got my E-visa.

到达列城, 一个印度北部的城市,

Arrived in Leh City, Northern India

拉达克地区首府.

Leh, is the capital of Ladakah District.

飞行时间约为1小时,(新德里 - 列城)

机舱外连绵不断的山脉

It takes around 1 hour by flight from Delhi to Leh

The view from the airplane it's absolutely beautiful

从土地的颜色逐渐转至白雪茫茫

All those mountains from "earth"color

till completely white, and it shines

喜马拉雅山脉, 我们的首次"亲密接触"

Himalayas, it nice to finally see you and

feel so close to you

  

在淡季出行, 将风景尽收眼底, 无人干扰

Traveling during off season, you got to have those amazing view alone without bothering from anyone

感受当日最纯正的风土人情

To feel the local vibes, the authentic vibes

结识一班志同道合的朋友

To know a bunch of new friends with same interests

共同的兴趣, 共同的追求

使我们聚到了一起

我相信, 相聚相见,

有时候并不是偶然,

而是命中注定

Same interests, same dreams

make us gather together,

I do believe people don't meet each other by chance, it's for a reason.

旅行, 抛开舒适的环境

TRAVEL, get out of your comfort zone

真正体验并尊重当地的文化

Experience and respect local culture

或许, 这并不是最整洁的居住环境;

或许, 这并不是最奢华的旅游;

或许, 这并不是最美丽的风景;

或许, 这并不是最舒适的季节;

It might not be  the cleanest and the most comfortable hostel in the world;

It might not be luxury travel;

It might not be the most beautiful scenery

in the world;

但, 我们体验到的,

正是独一无二的经历,

而在此经历中, 很庆幸与志同道合的人

共同分享, 共同发现

But, what we have is more.

what we have is unique

what we have is priceless;

I am glad to share together,

to discover together

with those "travel mates"

and it becomes "my travel mates"

  

几经转折终于到了Hearth青旅,

(广州 - 香港 - 新德里 - 列城 )

A long way until I finally reach Hearth Hostel.

(Guangzhou - Hongkong - New Delhi - Leh)

面临着巨大的温度差异

(出发地香港大概为22度, 列城当时为零下15摄氏度)

Huge temperature difference,

（around 22 celsius in HK, and -15 celsius in Leh)

我第一时间跑去厨房, 先填满肚子

青旅的厨房, 非常简单,

很典型的拉达克风格

Of course I ran directly to the kitchen,

a person like me can't stop eating

The kitchen in the hostel, very simple,

typical ladakhi style

寒冷的冬天, 所有的水管都结冰了

(昼夜温差很大,白天大约在 -10 - -15摄氏度之间,

晚上介于 -20 - 30+摄氏度)

我们的生活用水, 只能靠"敲冰取水"

Freezing cold winter,

all the water pipes are frozen

(Day time temperature

around -10 - -15 celsius

night time

around -20 - -30 celsius and more)

We need to break the ice to get water.

  

原来他此次来列城的目的也是参加"Vipassana"

Yoshi(另一位背包客也是)

In the meantime, I start to chat with Issac in the kitchen

It turns out he's going for "Vipassana"

on the 29 Jan as well

same with Yoshi (another backpacker from Japan)

Issac建议我第一天到列城需要休息一天

由于海拔的缘故 (列城海拔约为3400m)

Issac suggests me to take a rest when the first day arrived in Leh due to the altitude

(Altitude in Leh is around 3400m)

我是个急性子, 只要我在旅途上可以抛开任何的阻碍

我也不会停下来休息

If you know me, you will immediately understand

I won't just stay in the hostel to rest for a day

我和Issac结伴同行, 去了当地的集市

为第二天将要开启的10天闭关静修做好准备

We decide to visit the local market

to get ready for 10 days "Vipassana"

  

在列城的街道上, 环顾四周

与我曾在网络上看到的印度

并不一样

Wander around Leh city,

there's so different than the usual scene we saw on the news about India.

真实的你未必看到, 你看到的又未必真实

我们不能以一种"以偏概全"的想法去看待事情

Reality can't be seen sometimes, and what you've seen aren't completely real at times;

取决于不同的角度

取决于当下的状态

取决于个人

取决于心态

It depends on different perspectives;

depends on current situation;

depends on person;

depends on attitude

任何的看法, 需要真正用"心"感受过才能理解

任何的事情, 需要亲身体会过, 才会懂得

Any experiences, when you fully experienced with your heart,

then you can truly understand

when you experienced in person, you will get the true meaning

and that's how you really feel.
